Six wheels, two halves, and the noisiest machine in the village.

Gamma bends in the middle like a caterpillar, he can climb like a goat and float like a boat, and he is very, very noisy. Everybody asks him to be quiet, so he goes to sleep alone on High Hill. Then, the morning after the wedding, the whole village oversleeps, and Jenny and David are about to miss their honeymoon train. Only one machine is loud enough to save the day.

What is it about?

Do not hide away the thing that makes you different. One day it will be exactly what everybody needs.

Which real vehicle is Gamma based on?

Real Gamma is a Gama Goat, spelt with one m. He was built in America between 1969 and 1973, and about 14,000 were made. He is two halves joined by a bendy joint, so all six wheels stay on the ground. His name comes from his inventor, Mr Gamaunt. He can swim using his wheels, and he was so loud his drivers wore ear protectors.
